MCS Charitable Foundation (UK) The MCS Charitable Foundation funds a range of projects that accelerate the adoption of renewable energy and low carbon technologies. Grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 are available to public sector organisations, charities and not-for-profit organisations for projects that have a UK-wide impact, either through having a national reach or through developing/demonstrating an innovative approach that could be replicated, adapted or scaled up. Projects should fall under the following themes: education, skills and CPD; public awareness/information and consumer confidence; zero carbon planning; or local zero carbon delivery initiatives. Grants of up to £100,000 will be considered in exceptional cases. Applicants should initially submit an expression of interest |

One Community Foundation - Collective Power Fund (Kirklees) One Community is the Community Foundation for the people of Kirklees and exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Collective Power Fund the foundation provides funding of between £500 and £3,000 to local charities, community groups and volunteer-led groups to tackle a range of environmental issues. |

One Community Foundation - The Hirst Brierley Fund (Kirklees) One Community is the Community Foundation for the people of Kirklees and exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Hirst Brierley Fund (Kirklees) the foundation supports activities that will reduce climate change, for example through energy efficiency, renewable energy or creation and management of green spaces. The fund will provide grants of up to £3000 to fund in whole or in part projects such as: Energy efficiency in lighting or heating; Insulation or window improvement; Renewable energy; Tree planting or creation of green spaces; Land or river management. |

Energy Savings Trust - Energy Redress Scheme Energy Saving Trust (EST) has been appointed by Ofgem to distribute payments from energy companies who may have breached rules. Through the Energy Redress Scheme the Trust provides grants to registered charities to deliver a range of new and innovative energy related projects designed to help vulnerable energy consumers and address households that may have been impacted by COVID-19. |

Two Ridings Community Foundation - Rusholme Wind Farm Fund (Newland, Drax, Long Drax and Airmyn) The Two Ridings Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Rusholme Wind Farm Fund the foundation provides grants of up to £4,000 to local community and charitable projects, for example: Projects that aim to reduce carbon emissions; Projects that encourage sustainable energy use; Energy efficient projects; General environmental projects; Community benefit and enhancement projects. |

One Community Foundation - The Bright Green Community Trust Fund 2020 (Kirklees) One Community is the Community Foundation for the people of Kirklees and exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Bright Green Community Trust Fund 2020 the foundation provides grants of up to £10,000 which can be used to fund or part-fund a project that will make a significant impact in the Holme Valley. For example, this could be for solar panels, or car/bike charging points. All applications must reduce carbon emissions. |

South Yorkshire Community Foundation - Blackstone Edge Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund (Barnsley) South Yorkshire's Community Foundation exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Blackstone Edge Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund the foundation provides grants of between £1,000 and £25,000 to projects and initiatives, with the following priorities: Advancement of education, culture or science; Encouraging public participation in a sport involving physical skill and exertion; The promotion of civic responsibility, volunteering, citizenship or community development; Environmental protection or improvement Bio-diversity and habitat conservation; Energy conservation and sustainable transport options |

Calor Rural Community Fund (UK) Calor is the UK’s leading LPG supplier. The Rural Community Fund offers rural off-grid communities the chance to win funding for projects that will improve local life. Support is available for community centres, village halls, sporting venues, youth clubs, scout groups and initiatives to support the elderly. Funding is available for renovations, redecorating, equipment, or new LPG heating systems. Projects must be in a rural off mains gas location in the UK and be for the benefit of an off-grid rural community in England, Scotland or Wales and must benefit the wider community and not an individual. Once a project has been accepted it will need to gain as many votes as possible from its supporters. Projects with the most votes will become finalists. Finalist entries will then be reviewed and scored by a panel of judges. Previous winners have included a school garden project, a Music Instrument Bank and a Village Hall facelift. |
