UK Games Fund – Prototype Fund (UK)

The UK Games Fund (UKGF), run by the UK Games Talent and Finance Community Interest Company, supports the UK’s early-stage games development and digital interactive business and creative ecosystem. Through the UKGF Prototype Fund, grants of up to £25,000 will be awarded to support early-stage video games development. The funding will help new and young games development businesses with fewer than 50 employees to create working prototype games. Applicants should already have completed some early concept work and have a proof-of-concept demo or other visual pre-production work.

UK Games Fund – Content Fund (UK)

The UK Games Fund (UKGF), run by the UK Games Talent and Finance Community Interest Company, supports the UK’s early-stage games development and digital interactive business and creative ecosystem. Through the UKGF Content Fund, grants of between £50,000 and £150,000 will be awarded to creative developers and start-up studios to support games in development and ready them for market. The funding, which will be available over the next 18 months, will support the development of intellectual property, allowing companies to attract investment and reach their next stage of growth. Eligible costs include staff and contractor costs for hands-on development activity. A total of £5 million in funding is available. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The fund may close periodically, therefore early applications are recommended.

Transform Foundation Website Grant Programme (UK)

The Transform Foundation is a charity for charities that aims to turn digital into a powerful force for generating more money and impact for causes. The Foundation does this by giving tech grants, conducting research and bringing together expertise to move charities forward. The Website Grant programme covers the upfront costs of a new charity-specific website including strategy, design, development and training. Grants of £18,000 will directly pay for the entire upfront costs of designing and building a website through the Foundations technology partner, Raising IT.

BT Community Fibre Partnership Grant (UK)

As part of BT's Community Fibre Partnerships programme eligible communities in the final 5% of the UK not covered by fibre broadband rollout plans can apply for a match-funded grant of up to £30,000 toward the cost of their new fibre infrastructure where that new infrastructure could also serve their local school. Community Partnerships must first register to find out if they are eligible to apply.

Access Broadband Cymru (Wales)

The Access Broadband Cymru scheme enables individuals, businesses and 3rd sector premises in Wales to apply for grant support to install alternative broadband solutions capable of delivering stable superfast download speeds. The proposed new service must ensure an absolute minimum download speed of at least 10Mbps. Applications requesting step change speeds that result in download speeds lower than 10Mbps will not be supported by the scheme. The scheme will offer a two tier voucher that provides grant support towards eligible costs for a broadband connection that result in a download speed step change. The voucher denominations are:£400 voucher for 10Mbps and 20Mbps broadband packages; £800 voucher for a superfast broadband package (30Mbps and above).
