Through the Active Spaces Fund the foundation provides grants of between £10,000 and £80,000 to capital projects to help with building and renovating facilities, spaces and places for sport and physical activity which is essential to ensure that children, young people and underserved communities can lead active and healthy lives. |

Go! London – Foundation Grants (London) Led by the Mayor of London, in partnership with the London Marathon Foundation and Sport England, Go! London provides funding to charities, community groups, and voluntary organisations delivering sport and physical activity to underserved young people in London. Through the Foundation Grants programme, grants of up to £40,000 are available to support projects that encourage children and young people aged 4-24 to take part in sport and physical activity, and improve the sustainability of the groups delivering these activities. Grants are available for a maximum of two years, with the average grant awarded between £25,000 and £30,000. Funding can support both project and core costs. Priority will be given to applications from equity-led groups, and those led by-and-for young people. |

Get Kids Going (UK) Get Kids Going! is a national charity which provides disabled children and young people up to 26 years with funding to help them participate in disability sports. Young people from all backgrounds and levels of experience, from beginners to paralympic level, can apply for the funding for specialist sports wheelchairs to help them compete in sporting events such as marathons, triathlons, tennis, athletics, skiing, rugby, basketball etc. The charity also gives sports grants to help with the cost of training, physiotherapy, sports psychology, travel, competition fees and the design and development of sports equipment. |

British Cycling - Places to Ride Crowdfunder (England) The British Cycling Places to Ride funding programme supports the development of new or the improvement of existing cycling facilities in communities across England. Through the programme, up to £15,000 in match funding is available for Crowdfunder projects that provide community-based, accessible cycling facilities and equipment to encourage people to cycle more regularly, regardless of gender, age, ability or ethnicity. British Cycling want to invest in projects that perhaps would not traditionally see British Cycling as a source of funding or indeed consider sport to be their main area of work. Campaigns typically run for 28 days but take a few weeks to create. |

Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation - Crowdfunding Campaign (England, Scotland & Wales) The Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation funds sustainable community projects throughout England, Scotland and Wales by making grants to support charities and community interest companies. The Foundation, has teamed up with Crowdfunder to make £100,000 in funding available. Organisations can apply for up to 50% of their crowdfunding target, up to a maximum of £5,000, to support projects that match one or more of the following themes: the environment and conservation; health and wellbeing; and the prevention or relief of poverty. Projects could include rewilding projects, community gardens, social inclusion and mental health projects, sports projects, community food banks, money management and budgeting skills, and educational projects for communities to reduce their carbon footprint. England and Wales Cricket Board - County Grants Fund (England & Wales) The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the national governing body for all cricket in England and Wales, supporting the game at every level – from grassroots to elite level. Through the County Grants Fund the ECB aims to support affiliated cricket clubs to create welcoming environments, provide enhanced facilities and playing opportunities, and to help clubs tackle the impact of climate change. Hertfordshire Community Foundation - Quercus Fund (Watford) The Hertfordshire Community Foundation is an independent charity that aims to tackle need and deprivation by delivering a range of grants to support local small charities, community and voluntary groups, and individuals on behalf of a wide range of donors. Through the Quercus Fund the foundation provides grants of up to £5,000 to improve the quality of life for young people up to the age of 25 in the Watford district. This can be through a number of different projects and approaches, and in particular projects are supported which help young people overcome disadvantage. |

Poundland Foundation – Kits for Kids Fund (UK) The Poundland Foundation is a grant making charity, whose aim is to transform communities and change lives across the UK. Through the ‘Kits for Kids’ scheme, grants of up to £750 are available to local children’s sports clubs or organisations working to improve children’s fitness and health. The scheme will award 250 grants to provide equipment and kit to help children get active again after the Coronavirus pandemic. Applications will be considered for any kind of team sport, from football to netball, hockey to volleyball. Money for the Foundation comes from in-store fundraising, carrier bag donations and micro-donations through chip and pin machines. |

Groundwork - GLA Grants Summer Sports Fund (London) Groundwork is a federation of charities working nationally and locally to transform lives in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities. Through the GLA Grants - Summer Sports Fund programme Groundwork is working with the Greater London Authority to provide grants of £5,000 to £10,000 for projects from sports clubs, youth centres and community organisations which provide activities for ‘at-risk’ young Londoners during the school summer holidays (July-August). |

Groundwork - GLA Grants YLF Impact Partnerships Fund (London) Groundwork is a federation of charities working nationally and locally to transform lives in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities. Through the GLA Grants - YLF Impact Partnerships Fund programme Groundwork is working with the Mayor of London to provide grants of between £100,000 and £200,000 for two year projects that use sport to support young people aged 10-25 who are at risk of getting involved in crime. The funded projects will create employment and training opportunities for participants. |

The London Community Foundation – Peabody Community Fund (London) The Peabody Community Fund provides grants of between £500 and £30,000 for up to 2 years to fund local activities which improve the quality of life of Peabody residents and the wider community. Priority will be given to projects addressing the needs of the most disadvantaged members of the community, projects led by Peabody residents and youth led projects which run for a period of at least six months. Ron Pickering Memorial Fund (UK) The Ron Pickering Memorial Fund is a grant making organisation that was established to help young British Athletes to fulfil their potential. Since its creation the memorial fund has awarded over £2 million in small but significant grants to several thousand talented young British athletes. The grants are designed to make a difference and range in value depending on the athletes age, ability and personal circumstances but have always had an impact on the athletes ability to develop, helping recipients make the difficult transition from junior to senior level through support for equipment, specialist coaching or travel and importantly helping build the athletes' confidence and self-esteem through recognition. |

Central Social and Recreational Trust (UK) The Central Social and Recreational Trust (CSRT) is a grant-giving organisation who aim to improve the conditions of life for those under the age of twenty one and of all other persons who by reasons of poverty, social and economic circumstances are unable to obtain facilities for recreational or other leisure time occupations . Funding of up to £1,000 is available to clubs/organisations which are affiliated to their governing body (such as the Amateur Boxing Association of England, National Association of Clubs for Young People etc.). Funding can be used for equipment to be used by all members, and maintenance of the property as long as it is owned by the club or has a significant lease. The majority of people who benefit from the grant must be under 21 years old. |

The Rowing Foundation (UK) The Rowing Foundation is a registered charity. Its purpose is to promote the participation in rowing of young people (those under 18 or still in full time education) and the disabled of all ages. The Foundation gives grants of £500-£4,000 to help organisations and clubs involved in on water elements of the sport of Rowing who are individually affiliated to British Rowing (other than via their governing body) and whose requirements may be too small or who may be otherwise ineligible for an approach to the National Lottery or other similar sources of funds.

Sport Aid (UK) Sport Aid provides financial support to young talented athletes performing at National level in able-bodied and disability sports. It is open to young people aged between 12 to 18 years and up to 35 years for disability sports. The Sport Aid Awards helps towards the cost of travel, training, accommodation, competition fees and sports equipment. Nominations for the awards are made through the National Governing Bodies of the athlete's sport. They will be able to discuss the award in more detail and provide an application form. |

Wooden Spoon Society Grant (UK) Schools, charities and community organisations can apply for grants for projects that improve the quality and prospect of life for children and young people who are disadvantaged physically, mentally or socially including those Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). The grants available include capital projects such as medical treatment and recovery centres, sports and activity areas, sensory rooms and gardens, playgrounds and hydrotherapy pools as well as revenue grants to support outreach programmes for children in their communities. |

Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust Grant (UK) Charitable organisations, schools and youth groups that offer outdoor recreation opportunities can apply for funding for projects that allow young people to experience outdoor recreation. The Trust is likely to support groups representing those who are disadvantaged or who face particular challenges. The grant aims to support specific projects that encourage young people to further their existing skills and gain new experiences. Eligible expenditure includes equipment, course fees and trips. Dickie Bird Foundation Grants (UK) The Dickie Bird Foundation was founded by former Test Cricket umpire Harold "Dickie" Bird MBE in March 2004, and provides grants, to assist financially disadvantaged young people under 16 years of age to participate in the sport of their choice irrespective of their social circumstances, culture or ethnicity. The aim of the grant is to help young people, who, through no fault of their own, are disadvantaged or underprivileged due to the financial situation of their family/guardians or carers and therefore are unable to follow or continue in the sport of their choice. The grants are to help with the cost of essential sports equipment.
