The Community Paths Grants program supports community groups and charitable organizations in Scotland with small grants to maintain, upgrade, create, and promote community path networks. The initiative offers small grants up to £1,800, which can be used for various activities such as improving and maintaining existing paths, purchasing tools and materials, hiring contractors, and enhancing biodiversity.

The Ian Findlay Path Fund supports community and third sector organisations in Scotland to improve local path networks, facilitating active travel through walking, wheeling, or cycling. The fund aims to enhance local path networks within and between communities, making active travel more accessible and appealing. Projects should facilitate active travel and meet specific outcomes such as improving accessibility, increasing path resilience, developing new link paths, improving user safety, and encouraging community use of path networks.

The Workplace Charging Scheme enables UK businesses, charities and public sector organisations to request vouchers towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points on their premises. Installation must be completed and the voucher claimed within six months of the voucher’s issue date. The scheme is run by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles and administered by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.

The eBike Loan is funded by Transport Scotland and can help individuals purchase a new electric bike, including cargo and adapted cycles.

The Ernest Cook Trust is an educational charity who aim to help the nation better understand the environment. The Outdoor Learning Officer Grant programme will provide funding of up to £15,000 per year (estimated as 50% of a full time salary) to charities and non-profit organisations that want to employ learning officers/outdoor educators who can: encourage others to create deep lasting connections with the natural environment; Engage people to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature; Educate communities; Enable society to understand the damaging effects of activities that harm the environment; Extend participation to hard to reach groups; Embed an understanding of environmental issues and promote sustainable behaviour.
