Hospices UK is administering a grant programme funded by the Masonic Charitable Foundation. Through the Bursaries for Hospice Staff Programme the foundation provides Grants of up to £1500 to support the professional development of individual staff, significantly increasing their expertise in the work they do, rather than training or updating them in the basic skills needed for their role. MCF Bursaries can be used to cover the costs of course fees for accredited courses. 

The Leathersellers' Company is one of the ancient livery companies of the City of London. It makes grants in the areas of Education, Disability, Children and young people and the relief of need. Through the Student Grants Programme The Leathersellers Company provides grants of up to £5,000 per year to support disadvantaged undergraduate students whose circumstances may otherwise prevent them achieving their goals. These grants aim to improve social mobility, relieve financial need where other support is not available and enable students to have a positive impact on society in the future.

Established in 1986 as a memorial to the late Miss Dorothy Sidley, General Secretary to the HSA for 48 years, the HSA Student/Trainee Scholarships provide up to £2,800 to enable students or trainees in the industry to carry out a project which is clearly aimed at improving the welfare of food animals in markets, during transport or at slaughter. Undergraduate and postgraduate students in agricultural, veterinary or meat sciences and trainees in the livestock, meat and fish industries are eligible to apply for the scholarships. 

UFAW is an internationally recognised, independent, scientific and educational animal welfare charity concerned with improving knowledge and understanding of animals’ needs. UFAW promotes high standards of welfare and practical, long-lasting solutions to welfare problems for farm, companion, laboratory, captive wild animals and those with which we interact in the wild. Through the Animal Welfare Student Scholarships programme the UFAW  aims to encourage students to develop their interests in animal welfare and to provide them with an opportunity to conduct relevant research or other (eg educational) projects. Applications are welcome from individuals studying at universities or colleges at which there is a UFAW University Link. Students will usually be undertaking courses in the agricultural, biological, psychological, veterinary or zoological sciences. 

Buttle UK is a charity dedicated to helping children and young people in crisis in the UK. Through the Support for Boarding programme the charity provide fully funded bursaries in residential schools so that young people can attend boarding schools and benefit from the environment. 

The Institute of Physics (IOP) is a leading scientific society and charitable organisation, their aim is to advance physics education, research and application by providing positive and compelling experiences of physics to public audiences through engaging and entertaining activities and events. Through the Anthony Waterhouse Fellowship the IOP provides grants to teachers who have an idea about physics teaching that they would like to develop. 

The Institute of Physics (IOP) is a leading scientific society and charitable organisation, their aim is to advance physics education, research and application by providing positive and compelling experiences of physics to public audiences through engaging and entertaining activities and events. Through the Bell Burnell Graduate Scholarship Fund the IOP provides funding for full or part-time graduates wishing to study towards a doctorate in physics and from groups that are currently under-represented in physics.

The Royal Television Society is an educational charity promoting the art and science of television. Through the TV Production and Journalism Bursary the society wants to help talented young people from lower income backgrounds realise their potential and get a foothold in the television industry.  As a bursary Scholar successful applicants receive £1000 per year of study, membership of the Royal Television Society while studying, one year's free membership when they graduate and in the second or third year of the course, the society will aim to set up a mentoring opportunity with one of their many industry mentors.

The Royal Television Society is an educational charity promoting the art and science of television. Through the Technology Bursary programme the Society is keen to encourage the most talented Engineering, Computer Sciences, Physics and Maths undergraduates to consider a career in television. Successful applicants receive financial support as well as the chance to gain an insight into career opportunities in television and related industries. They will also be provided with RTS membership throughout the duration of study, plus one further year of membership after graduation.

ScreenSkills is the industry-led skills body for the screen industries – film, television (including children's, unscripted and high-end), VFX (visual effects), animation and games. Through the bursaries programme they provide funding to remove the obstacles to getting into the screen industries or progressing a career once in the industry. Funding is available for to pay for most things that relate to work and continuing professional development, such as training fees, accommodation, care, disability access costs, equipment, software and travel.

Foundation Scotland exists to benefit disadvantaged communities by making grants to support relevant charitable or voluntary organisations, which make a difference to their local communities. Through the Whiteside Hill Education and Training Fund the foundation provides grants of up to £1,500 to residents of the Kirkconnel & Kelloholm and Royal Burgh of Sanquhar and District Community Council areas to help them access training and education opportunities that better equip them with the range of skills needed to enter or retain employment.

Through the Tannach and District Wind Farm Education & Training Fund the foundation provides grants of up to £1,500 to residents of the Tannach and District Community Councils area in Caithness to help them access training and education opportunities that better equip them with the range of skills needed to enter or retain employment in key sectors of the local economy.

Through the Graham Charitable Trust Fund the foundation provides education bursaries of up to £500 to students with the surname of Graham who are studying at higher education institutes in the Glasgow area.

Through the EDF Renewables Corriemoillie Wind Farm Education & Training Fund (Highlands) the foundation provides grants of up to £3,000 to support a range of education and training activity that leads to the following outcomes: More individuals resident within the Fund Area are equipped with the skills and confidence required to enter into and retain employment in the key sectors the Fund supports; Micro and small businesses are able to create new job opportunities or retain existing jobs that may benefit individuals resident in the Fund Area; Micro and small businesses that employ individuals from the Fund Area have the necessary skills and confidence to grow and sustain their operations in order to secure their long-term future.

The IOP is offering Teacher Training Scholarships of £29,000 to reward the very best graduates entering physics teacher training.

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust runs the Churchill Fellowships, a programme of overseas research grants. These support UK citizens from all parts of society to travel the world in search of innovative solutions for today’s most pressing problems.  The Trust will fund individuals to spend up to two months overseas, meeting experts, visiting projects and learning new ideas.

The Wellcome Trust is a research charity that funds research to improve human and animal health. The Trust supports both biomedical research and research into the public understanding of science. Through the Four Year PhD Studentships in Science programme the trust is offering graduates outstanding training in scientific research.

The Nuffield Foundation aims to improve social well-being by funding research and innovation in education, justice and welfare. Through the POST fellowship a PhD student from a UK University funded by the Nuffield Foundation can apply for a three-month fellowship at The Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. The fellow will work on an area of quantitative social science, science or technology policy and produce a POST note briefing.

The Ernest Cook Trust is an educational charity who aim to help the nation better understand the environment. The Apprenticeships and Scholarships programme provides funding to organisations that offer work-based training and education to young people enabling them to learn skills and fulfil their potential. Apprenticeship and scholarship programmes should have an emphasis on environmental engagement for example education about the land, food production, climate change, engineering technology, renewable energy, understanding nature and biodiversity. Grants of between £500 and £10,000 per student per year are available.

Hospice UK is the National charity for hospice and palliative care. The purpose of the Wolfson bursaries for care home staff is to improve the quality of care given to patients, their carers and families. Funding of up to £1,500 in any one year is available to nurses, healthcare assistants or Allied Health Professionals who are employed by care homes for courses that are detailed in the guidance notes.

Hospice UK is the National charity for hospice and palliative care. The purpose of the Wolfson bursaries for hospice staff is to improve the quality of care given to patients in need of hospice and palliative care, and to their families and carers. The programme aims to improve the professional development of independent staff, increasing their expertise in the work that they do. Bursaries can be used to cover fees for university accredited palliative care courses including degree, masters and PhD level programmes and modules from the same. 

The Sutton Trust Summer School Programme is delivered in partnership with the US-UK Fulbright Commission and gives bright, state school students a taste of life at an American University. Applications are open to Students in Year 12 or equivalent who have an interest in US culture and higher education. The programme is centred on a one-week summer school in the US with introductory events and application support in the UK before and after. The programme provides participants with a wide range of activities to help them make the right decisions about American higher education and covers all programme costs, including residential events, accommodation and travel.

The Columba Trust makes grants to charitable organisations for the advancement of the Roman Catholic religion; education and for the relief of poverty. The trust's main aims are to support students studying theology or related subjects, charities working with people who are homeless and projects associated with significant Catholic properties. The Trust supports a smaller number of charities each year and offer longer term funding of three to five years.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The objective of Chevening is to support foreign policy priorities and achieve FCO objectives by creating lasting positive relationships with future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers. The programme makes awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK. The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master's degree, in any subject and at any UK university.
