Wiltshire Community Foundation Grants
Wiltshire Community Foundation

The Wiltshire Community Foundation runs a number of grant schemes for the benefit of people living in the County.  Applications range from £750 to £10,000 (up to £5,000 a year for one or two years, or up to £3,000 a year for up to three years). These grants are awarded in May and November.

These schemes include:

Small Grants

Applications are available for up to £750 and can be applied for all year round.

Haydon Wick Grants

The Haydon Wick Fund has been set up to support Charities and Voluntary organisations that are based in, or whose work substantially benefits, the people of Haydon Wick and immediate area.  These grants are awarded in October.

ComicRelief

Comic Relief Grants - These grants are to support work where there is clear evidence of a sustained beneficial impact on people’s lives who are excluded or disadvantaged through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities, race, sexuality or gender. Priority is to be given to small, locally based groups or organisations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding of the needs of their community and are undertaking actions as a means of addressing these needs.  Grants up to £10,000 (although it is unlikely that a grant of this figure will be awarded).   A higher number of smaller grants will be awarded (around the £1000 to £2,000) and must be at least 30% of overall project cost.  These grants are awarded in January and July.

Crimebeat Grants

Wiltshire & Swindon Crimebeat has three main objectives, and if it is to be successful, your project will need to fulfil at least one of these:

  • Anti Crime
  • Anti Bullying
  • Combat Anti Social Behaviour

Funding is available for one year only, and the maximum grant will be £3,000.   Grants are awarded in March and September.

The Office of Police & Crime Commissioner Grants

The Fund is particularly keen to support projects which seek to bring communities together to tackle local issues improving trust and understanding, and welcomes projects which offer a new or innovative approach.  We would expect that applications would focus on one or more of the following areas.

  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Crime in local neighbourhoods
  • Drug and alcohol related crime
  • Reducing re-offending
  • Violence against women and girls
  • Youth crime

Funding is available for one year only, and the maximum grant will be £3,000.   Grants are awarded in March and September.

Public Health and Well-Being Grants

  • Reducing childhood obesity or helping adults to adopt healthier lifestyles
  • Helping to combat loneliness, isolation and other factors which contribute to poor mental health
  • Supporting older people to have more active and fulfilling lives
  • Promoting the use of community green spaces, assets and infrastructure for exercise and wellbeing
