Local Funding
Projects should be run by people directly affected by the issues they are dealing with and priority will be given to small, locally based groups or organisations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding of the needs of their community. Organisations can apply for funding to:
- increase local services
- build skills of local people
- increase community cohesion
- respond to local economic needs
The Bradford Grants Panel will look to fund projects that are addressing need identified through consultation and/or engagement with potential beneficiaries and have a clear focus on the positive results they plan to achieve.
Volunteer-led organisations, registered charities, community groups or not-for-profit organisations with charitable aims.
Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available.
The closing date is 5pm. Monday 16th February 2015 for the panel to meet at the end of March 2015.
The Local Communities Grant Programme is a very popular fund and it is normally oversubscribed. Applicants are strongly recommended also to seek alternative sources of funding for their project to avoid disappointment.
