Local Funding
Cashpoint is a Big Lottery Funded project that aims to improve the financial skills and confidence of young social housing tenants. It currently works in partnership with several housing providers and advice agencies, but is keen to work with any agencies that come into contact with young social housing tenants. They invite applications from organisations and community groups for the following community awards:-
Cashpoint Community Award - Community Projects
To develop a community project that helps young social housing tenants to develop financial skills and confidence (e.g. budgeting, safer borrowing, understanding financial products etc).
Cashpoint Community Award - Peer Money Mentoring
To train and support one/some young people to act as a Peer Money Mentor to at least 15 other young people (each) in the local community, providing information and signposting around financial confidence and capability.
Not for profit organisations and community groups.
Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available
