Reading Borough Council

Reading Borough Council's Voluntary Sector Support Unit provides grants to local charities and voluntary based organisations that provide high quality essential support to Reading's community. The Council supports a variety of organisations through grant aid, from counselling and advice services, childcare groups, support associations, arts projects, conservation projects and many more. Organisations range from small groups just starting off, to well-known and well-established groups.

Grants provided are:

Community Grants

These are small grants that are available to organisations that are voluntarily run, and non-profit making, who provide a service to benefit the residents of Reading. They can be for organisations just starting up, or for special project costs, essential equipment for the groups, one-off events, hiring facilities, etc.

Core Funding Grants

These grants are available to voluntary run groups that may already be established, that are in need of financial support to assist with day to day running of the high quality service they provide to Reading community. Again they must be non-profit making.
