Basildon District Council

Basildon District Council have made available £20,000 to help local performing arts groups mount performances in the Towngate Theatre. The scheme has been specifically designed so that local organisations can apply for up to £2000 support, per production, to meet the cost of hire and staffing. The scheme is open to local organisations, charities and educational establishments within the District. We are especially interested to know how the Performance you would like us to support addresses Basildon District Council's vision to improve the quality of life for the people in the District now and for future generations.

Grants can be awarded to help meet any of the following costs associated with staging a performance at the Towngate Theatre:-

- Rehearsal costs

- Technical costs.

- Equipment costs.

- Hire costs.

- Individuals living in the Basildon District.

- Non-profit making clubs, societies & organisations based in the Basildon District & whose membership is open to everyone living in the District.

- Educational establishments.
