Local Funding
Community Transport Challenge Fund
Buckinghamshire Community Foundation
To promote and develop innovative and sustainable community transport solutions in Buckinghamshire.
Funding will be provided as a maximum one year, one-off grant for capital and/or revenue purposes. The project should start as soon as possible after the grant has been awarded.
The project funded by a Community Transport grant must involve new activities or if it is to develop existing activities, it must form part of a transition plan to a new approach to service delivery.
No grant will be awarded to pay the salary costs of existing staff in existing roles.
Where a grant is solely for a capital contribution towards the costs of vehicle purchase, the maximum available will be limited to one third of the total costs of the vehicle
Examples of the types of activities we will fund: (this list is not exhaustive)
• Purchase or lease of vehicles and associated equipment;
• Purchase of IT and communications products;
• Repair, refurbishment and renovation of vehicles, including relevant professional fees and expenses;
• Employment of professional advisers or consultants (eg legal costs, surveyors);
• Employment of staff, including pensions and training;
• Premises and office costs, including heating, lighting, utilities, stationery, publications and marketing materials
