Highland Opportunity Limited Enterprise Trust

Highland Opportunity Limited is the Enterprise Trust for the Highlands of Scotland. It is a “non profit distributing company”, limited by guarantee and owned by the Highland Council. It provides financial support for new and developing businesses, offers community enterprise loans, holds the agency for the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust in the Highlands, and hosts the Euro Info Centre for North Scotland.

Highland Opportunity Limited offers loans at interest rates lower than commercial bank rates, currently set at 5% on outstanding amounts, to new and growing businesses in the Highland Council area of Scotland.

New and developing businesses with the Highlands as well as community enterprises.

Loans are available from £1,000 - £30,000.

Loans from £1,000 to £10,000 are unsecured; between £10,000 and £20,000 security may be required; from £20,000 to £30,000 security will be required.

Repayment periods up to 7 years are acceptable, depending on loan size.
