Historic England has launched the Heritage at Risk Capital Fund, a special one-year initiative with a budget of £15 million aimed at preserving England's most vulnerable historic sites. This fund seeks to provide grants to heritage assets listed on the Heritage at Risk Register, facilitating urgent conservation work to prevent further deterioration.
Eligible applicants, including charitable and not-for-profit organisations, private owners, and local authorities responsible for at-risk heritage sites, can apply for grants. The funding supports activities such as structural repairs, conservation of significant architectural features, and project development work that enables future restoration or improved management.
The fund is currently open for expressions of interest, with a submission deadline of 30th April 2025. Please email Histotic England at harcapitalfund@historicengland.org.uk – an expression of interest form.
Full applications will need to be submitted by the 30th May 2025.
