Grants Available for Charities Supporting Breast Cancer Recovery and Well-being (UK)

The Pink Ribbon Foundation has announced that its 2027 grant programme is open for applications from UK charities working in the field of breast cancer. The Foundation is a grant-making trust supporting charities that help people affected by breast cancer and improve understanding, recovery and treatment.

Grants are normally available up to £6,000, although the Foundation may consider larger awards at its discretion. Funding supports practical projects improving the physical and mental health of people with or recovering from breast cancer. Projects are generally expected to be completed within 12–18 months.

Key highlights

  • UK registered charities can apply
  • At least 60% of beneficiaries should be breast cancer patients
  • Up to 15% of an award can contribute towards core costs
  • Partnership applications are accepted with a nominated lead organisation.

Examples of projects previously funded by the Pink Ribbon Foundation include:

  • Support for underserved communities: Future Dreams received funding to expand activities for people from BAME communities affected by breast cancer, addressing gaps in support and cultural or social barriers
  • Cookery and wellbeing sessions: Life’s Kitchen was funded to run cookery classes for the breast cancer community, including the cost of demonstrators and ingredients.
  • Online wellbeing programmes: Victoria’s Promise has used grant funding for webinars on mindfulness, nutrition and sleep, alongside weekly yoga classes.
  • Counselling: Positive Action on Cancer received support towards the direct costs of counselling sessions for people affected by breast cancer.
  • Practical chemotherapy support: littlelifts received funding to provide Comfort Boxes containing useful items and wellbeing products for women undergoing chemotherapy for primary breast cancer.
  • Complementary therapies and wellbeing: The South East Cancer Help Centre was supported to provide services including massage, yoga, reiki, counselling, Tai Chi and mindfulness sessions.

Applications must be submitted in hard copy with current accounts and detailed project costings.

Only one application per organisation is permitted each year.

The deadline is 28 May 2027, with grants awarded in late July.
