Funding Scheme to Support Young Entrepreneurs (West Cumbria)

In partnership with the Centre for Leadership Performance, Cumbria Community Foundation invites applications to its Positive Enterprise programme, which supports young people in starting their own businesses.

Those chosen to take part will receive a £1,000 grant to spend on equipment, marketing or other business start-up costs, along with mentoring and opportunities for skills and leadership development.

The programme is open to anyone aged 14 to 25 who live in Allerdale or Copeland, with up to 10 places available.

Previous businesses developed through the scheme range from animal accessories and football coaching, to American sweets and self-care packages for people undergoing chemotherapy.

Applications close at 5pm on the 3rd January 2025.
