Grants of up to £5,000 for Victim Support Organisations (Greater Manchester)

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise organisations supporting victims of crime in Greater Manchester.

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s Victim's Capability and Capacity Fund aims to enhance the capacity of organisations to deliver essential services to victims of crime to help them cope and recover, regardless of whether the crime has been reported. This may include mentoring, befriending or therapeutic support.

The fund consists of three elements:

  • Small grants to be awarded to community organisation that support victims (Max £5,000), such as - cost of living grant for victims – to provide personal budgets and personal funding for victims with cost-of-living pressures
  • Cost of living grant for organisations working with victims (Max £2,000)
  • Grants to organisations working with victims (Max £ 5,000), supporting community development and collaboration

The funds can be used to cover expenses related to the following themes:

  • victim access to volunteering to support cope and recovery
  • increase volunteering capacity within the organisation
  • impact on the cost of living
  • supporting communities of identity - supporting access to services, improving
  • the understanding of cultural and community needs and tackling racial disparity
  • supporting lived experience development
  • enabling sector collaboration
  • tackling inequality – improving access and awareness

Applications close at 4pm on the 6th January 2025.
