Air Ambulances UK Introduces Fund to Enhance Patient and Crew Support (UK)

Air Ambulances UK (AAUK) is inviting applications to its Improving Outcomes Fund.

The fund aims to improve support for air ambulance patients, their families and the medical crews who respond to critical emergencies. It will support essential aftercare services designed to improve long-term outcomes for people affected by serious incidents.

The initiative is backed by founding partners HCC Solicitors and Slater and Gordon Lawyers UK.

Eligible air ambulance charities can apply for grants of between £5,000 and £25,000. Funding is available for:

  • patient aftercare services
  • dedicated support services for crew members
  • dedicated support spaces for patients, crew members or both
  • outdoor reflection spaces for patients and crew members
  • research projects that support the development of aftercare services for individual charities and the wider air ambulance sector

The deadline for applications is 12pm on 15 September 2026.
