Grants Available to Support Adults Seeking Asylum in the North West (North West)

The North West Regional Strategic Migration Partnership (RSMP) has announced that the Healing, Mental Health and Wellbeing Grant Programme is now open for applications. The RSMP supports migration-related work across the North West, including councils, voluntary organisations and people seeking asylum.

The programme focuses on adults who are currently within the asylum process. Grants of £500 to £5,000 are available, including two grassroots expenses grants for individuals with lived experience of seeking asylum or coming to the UK as a refugee and who have a strong idea they would like to explore.

The funding will support ideas that improve healing, mental health, wellbeing and inclusion. Projects could:

  • help people understand rights, entitlements and local health systems;
  • create safe spaces for LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum;
  • support people to re-engage with study, employment or community life;
  • strengthen faith or diaspora voices in service design;
  • support pregnant people seeking asylum.

Constituted non-profit groups and organisations can apply. The fund is intended to benefit adults seeking asylum, including those navigating local services, waiting for decisions, or preparing for next steps after a decision.

Applications are open now and must be submitted by 23:59 on  2 July 2026.
