The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund has announced that its second 2026 funding round will focus on projects supporting young women aged 17 to 30 who are in contact with the criminal justice system and at risk of reoffending.
Due to high reoffending rates amongst women, supporting work with young women post release from custody is a key area of interest. This round will support work delivered in prisons, through the gate and as ongoing post-release support.
Grants of up to £100,000 are available for projects lasting 18, 24, 30 or 36 months, with a maximum request of £50,000 per year.
UK registered charities, not-for-profit social enterprises and community interest companies with an annual income of between £50,000 and £5 million are eligible to apply.
Organisations must have relevant experience of working with girls in the criminal justice system and demonstrate age, gender, trauma and culturally responsive approaches. There is a particular focus on projects that provide peer support from women with lived experience and are co-designed with young women and girls. Priority will be given to applications supporting those who are neurodiverse or from Black or minoritised/racialised communities.
Expressions of Interest open on 10 September 2026 and close on 15 October 2026. Shortlisted organisations will then be invited to submit a full application.
