Grant News
Grants of up to £3,000 are available to community sports clubs and organisations in Scotland through Aldi's Scottish Sport Fund. The supermarket retailer is celebrating the fund's tenth year by increasing its top award.
The funding supports sporting activities that benefit local communities and encourage participation among people of all ages and abilities. Grants can help cover equipment, sports kits, training costs and other essentials.
Eligible applicants include community sports clubs, schools, educational and religious organisations, Scout and Guide groups, registered community amateur sports clubs and community interest companies. University sports clubs, exclusive membership organisations and individual sponsorship applications are excluded.
Applications are assessed by Aldi, with shortlisted organisations entering a public vote. The winner receives £3,000, while two runners-up receive £1,250 each.
Aldi accepts applications during regional funding rounds.
The final round for 2026, covering southern Scotland (Postcode areas DG, TD), runs from 26 October to 22 November 2026. Completed forms must be emailed to scottishsportfund@aldi.co.uk.
