Funding to Recruit Volunteers Experiencing Disadvantage or Barriers to Volunteering (Scotland)
The Scottish Government is making funding available to help small to medium third sector organisations recruit volunteers who experience disadvantage or barriers to volunteering.
Charites, community groups and voluntary organisations can apply for a maximum of £20,000 over a two-year period from the Volunteering Support Fund 2025-27 to recruit a minimum of twenty-one volunteers, with thirteen who experience disadvantage or would traditionally experience barriers to volunteering.
This includes people who are:
- on low incomes
- with mental health conditions
- who are physically disabled
- with additional support needs
- with long-term medical conditions
- minoritised by race
- LGBTQIA+ people
- from other groups experiencing disadvantage or barriers to volunteering
Organisations must have an annual income of less than £250,000.
The Fund is administered by Impact Funding Partners.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 25th August 2025.
