Grant News
The People’s Postcode Trust has announced that Round 3 of its grant programme is now open for applications from charities and “good causes” in Scotland to support projects that promote human rights, fight inequality, alleviate poverty, enhance biodiversity and access to green spaces, and improve mental health or wellbeing.
The Trust offers three-year funding of up to £50,000 for Registered Charities, Community Interest Companies, and Charitable Community Benefit Societies with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million.
Priority is given to:
- Applications from smaller charities, particularly those with annual income under £250,000 and to causes in areas among Scotland’s most deprived communities.
- Organisations that work in communities located in the top 15% of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation
- Organisations whose primary activities focus on supporting marginalised groups. This could include, but is not limited to, disabled people, communities experiencing racial inequity, and LGBT+ people.
Applicants must be existing organisations (at least one year in operation), have signed accounts, and meet governance conditions.
The Trust publishes a detailed Funding Guide covering eligibility, exclusion criteria, allowable costs, and funding thresholds. Interested organisations are encouraged to review the guide and conduct eligibility checks before submitting an application, as incorrect or incomplete submissions may be disqualified.
Previously supported projects include:
- Bairnecessities Baby Bank was awarded £5,239 to provide essential items to families in need.
- Angus Young Engineers Club was granted £15,000 to support STEM/engineering youth programmes.
- Ayrshire Sportsability received £8,000 to support sports, inclusion, or disability sport work.
The closing date for applications is noon on 6 October 2025.
Application forms and guidance are available on the Postcode Trust website.
