Grant News
The KFC Youth Foundation is currently accepting applications for its Community Grant Programme, offering two-year grants of £3,000 per year to support organisations that empower young people aged 11 to 25. The total funding available for each successful applicant is £6,000 over the two-year period. The primary aim of these grants is to provide safe spaces, unlock talent, build life skills, offer mentoring, and enhance employment prospects for young individuals facing economic disadvantages, including care leavers, those experiencing homelessness, young carers, young parents, refugees, and those at risk of or with experience in the criminal justice system.
Eligible applicants include registered charities, community interest companies, unincorporated clubs or associations, and unregistered charities based in the UK.
Organisations must have an annual income not exceeding £400,000 and should have been established for at least 12 months. They must also have a signed constitution or governing documents, a bank account in the organisation's name requiring two unrelated signatories or dual authorisation, accounts detailing income and expenditure over the past 12 months, an active board of trustees or directors, and a suitable safeguarding policy.
The application process involves two stages. The first stage requires the submission of a two-minute video introducing the organisation, along with a basic application form detailing the organisation's information and a 150-word description of how it supports young people in the KFC Youth Foundation's priority groups.
The deadline for submitting the Expression of Interest is 14th February 2025.
The second stage involves a more detailed application, which can be completed either online or face-to-face, and includes the submission of supporting documents such as the governing document, latest accounts, safeguarding policy, a copy of the most recent bank statement, and the organisation's logo. The deadline for the second stage application is 11th April 2025.
