Grants for FE Colleges to Address Skills & Diversity in the Screen Sector (London)

London FE colleges can apply for grants of between £10,000 and £20,000 for projects that address skills and diversity challenges within the screen sector.

The FE Curriculum Partnerships Fund will support colleges in collaborating with screen industry partners on innovative pilot projects aimed at developing curricula that better equip students to meet the skills needs of the screen industry.

Pilot projects should be a new and additional activity for the college: This could be for example:

  • a new short course
  • supplementary units or modules for an existing course
  • a course which incorporates a training or work experience placement with the industry partner
  • a course to help students to adapt skills from other sectors which are needed by screen production

The grant can cover costs such as staff time, venue hire, equipment, operational expenses, and overheads.

Colleges may bid as a consortium for larger projects, with grants of up to £20,000 available.

At least 15% match funding is required.

Film London, in partnership with the Association of Colleges, is providing the funding, which is accepting applications until 6 December 2024.
