Grants of Up to £25,000 Available to Improve Young People's Access to Sports (London)

The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) has launched the "Go! London Match. Trade. Grow" programme, offering London-based not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises the opportunity to apply for Match Trading grants of up to £25,000.

The programme aims to support organisations dedicated to enhancing young people's access to sports and physical activities, particularly those from underserved communities. The initiative combines financial support with a 12-month learning programme valued at over £11,000, designed to help participants increase their trading income and, consequently, their social impact.

Eligible organisations can apply at two levels:

  • The Trade Up level, offering grants up to £15,000 for organisations with a minimum income of £20,000;
  • The Scale Up level, providing grants up to £25,000 for those with at least £150,000 in income.

The programme is structured to incentivise growth by disbursing 20% of the grant upfront, with the remaining funds released as the organisation's trading income increases. This approach encourages sustainable development and reduces reliance on traditional grant funding.

Applications are currently open, with a closing deadline of 1 pm on the 14th January 2025.

Interested organisations should first register their interest through SSE's official website. Upon registration, applicants will receive detailed guidance notes, information about online information sessions, and a link to the application form.

The programme is set to commence in March 2025.
