City Bridge Foundation Launches New 10 Year Strategy to Tackle Inequality in the Capital (London)

The City Bridge Foundation, which is the charitable grant-maker and the funding arm of the City of London Corporation, has unveiled "Standing with Londoners," a ten-year funding policy launched in March 2025. This strategy is designed to address systemic issues that marginalise certain communities, while simultaneously tackling immediate challenges faced by these groups.

The policy articulates four primary visions for a fairer London:

  • Climate Justice
  • Access to Justice
  • Racial Justice
  • Economic Justice

These focal areas aim to empower affected communities to lead initiatives that promote equity and social justice.

While specific details regarding grant amounts, total funding allocation, and eligible activities are yet to be disclosed, the foundation has indicated that the forthcoming programmes will support a diverse range of stakeholders involved in movements addressing common social justice issues. This support may include funding for advocacy, community organising, research, and strategic communications.

Organisations interested in applying should note that the new funding programmes are scheduled to open in autumn 2025. In the meantime, potential applicants are encouraged to review the full "Standing with Londoners" report available on the City Bridge Foundation's website to understand the strategic direction and prepare for future opportunities.
