Grant News
Registered charities and Community Interest Companies operating in the UK are eligible to apply for a grant programme designed to support sustainable, community-focused projects. The grant supports initiatives that deliver clear social or environmental benefits, with a particular focus on improving health and wellbeing, protecting the environment, and addressing poverty.
The fund is administered by the Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation in partnership with Crowdfunder and offers up to £5,000 per project through a match-funding model. A total of £100,000 is available, with funding awarded on a 3:1 match basis—meaning for every £1 raised by a project, the Foundation will contribute £3, up to 75% of the target.
Suitable projects might include mental health programmes, community rewilding efforts, or initiatives to improve financial education. All funded activities must take place within the UK and be delivered in either 2025 or 2026.
To be eligible, projects must be hosted on the Crowdfunder platform and use either the “all or nothing” or “keep what you raise” funding models. Additionally, applicants must be sponsored by a Mortgage Advice Bureau staff member, customer, or approved business partner. Projects must secure donations from at least 10 unique supporters and achieve their fundraising target to qualify for the match funding.
Applications are currently open. Interested organisations should create a project on Crowdfunder and follow the guidelines on the platform to apply. Applications can be submitted at any time.
