A new funding opportunity from the City Bridge Foundation is set to open soon, supporting organisations that deliver vital legal and social welfare advice across London.
The Access to Justice Programme is the first initiative under the Foundation’s new ten-year funding strategy, Standing with Londoners 2025–2035. It aims to strengthen “led by and for” organisations that provide free social welfare advice and drive systemic change.
Eligible groups must operate within one or more of the 32 London boroughs or the City of London, focusing on areas such as housing, welfare benefits, debt, employment, and immigration.
With £6.5 million available in this first round, the programme will offer core and flexible grants over three or five years to help advice agencies build capacity, sustain essential services, and influence policy reform.
This initiative reflects the City Bridge Foundation’s wider commitment to tackling inequality and improving access to justice for those most affected by poverty and discrimination.
Further details, including full eligibility criteria and an information sheet, will be released on 10 November 2025 via the Foundation’s website. The Fund will open for applications on 14 November 2025. Organisations interested in applying can also attend an Access to Justice webinar at 11:15am on Tuesday 11 November, where they can learn more about the programme, eligibility, and how to prepare an application.
