Go! London Launches Innovation Challenges to Benefit Young People & Communities (London)

Go! London has launched two Open Innovation Challenges, inviting bold and collaborative ideas that use physical activity and sport to build stronger, more resilient communities for underserved children and young people.

The challenges focus on two key themes:

  • Reimagining Sport & Play: Seeking innovations that increase the availability of safe, inclusive, and affordable spaces for sport and physical activity by adapting or reimagining spaces previously not used for this purpose, and those that make existing spaces more welcoming and relevant to engage young people who have been excluded.
  • Sport for Climate Action: Solutions that harness the energy, reach and collective spirit of sport and physical activity to build a healthier, more sustainable future for young people and the planet. Funding is for projects that drive climate action through awareness, capacity building and engagement or that enable climate-resilient participation of children and young people in physical activity.

Grants between £50,000 and £100,000 are available to support collaborations that bring new perspectives to big challenges and champion a ‘learning by doing’ approach – prototyping, testing, and iterating ideas to create meaningful solutions to real-life problems.

Applications are open to not-for-profit organisations, including schools, universities, and local authorities. For-profit organisations can participate as part of a partnership, but may not act as the lead applicant.

Projects can be at any stage (early, mid, or later stage).

The deadline for applications is 17th February 2026.
