Grants of up to £35,000 Available for Projects that Help the Homeless (London)

Grants of between £25,000 and £35,000 are available through the London Homelessness Foundation (LHF) to support projects and charitable organisations in London that work directly with people experiencing homelessness. The Foundation’s funding strategy prioritises early-stage and higher-risk initiatives that require proof of concept before they are able to secure more mainstream funding, as well as projects that strengthen collaboration and consolidation across the homelessness sector. In addition, LHF supports a small number of international projects in areas with limited homelessness provision where there is potential for systemic change.

The Foundation offers both core and responsive grants, with a strong emphasis on innovation in service delivery and organisational development. Priority is given to new services that address the specific intersections between homelessness and migration and destitution, the criminal justice system, young people, and women.

Previously supported initiatives include the Treasures Foundation, which provides safe accommodation and tailored support for women with histories of substance misuse and offending, and the People’s Recovery Project, which focuses on building sustained recovery for people experiencing homelessness and addiction. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are assessed quarterly.
