Funding for Community Energy Resilience Projects (the North East, Yorkshire & northern Lincolnshire)
Charities, community groups, social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £20,000 to deliver community energy resilience projects across the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.
The funding is made available through the Northern Powergrid Foundation Community Grants programme, which aims to support projects addressing energy-related challenges including fuel poverty, energy resilience and the net zero transition.
Projects could include:
- programmes producing free energy efficiency measures to fuel poor households
- installing solar panels and battery storage at community hubs to improve resilience
- power related emergency events
Larger grants may be made in exceptional circumstances.
The closing date for applications is the 13th May 2024.
