Awards for Sustainable Energy Projects Opens to Entries (UK / International)

Ashden, a climate solutions charity that supports projects in sustainable energy, has announced that the UK and international competitions for its 2026 Ashden Awards are now open for entries.

The Ashden Awards 2026 are an open-entry competition recognising innovative and inclusive climate-solutions across the UK and Global South, offering winners a cash prize plus high-profile publicity and networking opportunities

This year’s Awards will support pioneers protecting and restoring nature or widening access to clean energy.

Categories include:

UK Awards

  • energy innovation
  • nature-based climate solutions

International Awards

  • solving energy challenges (Global South)
  • tropical forest protection (Global South)
  • Ashden Award for Outstanding Achievement (Global South)

The competition is open to:

  • businesses
  • social enterprises
  • charities/NGOs
  • community groups
  • government/public sector organisations

Winners will receive a cash grant of up to £40,000 and a package of supplementary support. 

The closing date for applications is the 8th December 2025.
