Funding to Help Utilise Vacant Commercial Properties (Bristol)

As part of a scheme to reinvigorate the city centre, Bristol City Council is making £1.3 million in funding available for small or micro businesses that wish to open new premises in vacant commercial buildings

The Vacant Commercial Property Grant Scheme will award grants of up to £10,000 to small businesses, sole traders, charities, CICs, and arts and culture groups looking to lease or rent a vacant commercial property located within the city centre or one of the 46 local high streets.

The funding can be used to cover the costs of building, decorating or signage works, and new equipment to be used in the property. 20% match funding is required.

The fund closes to applications at 11.59pm on the 30th September 2024, or when all funding has been allocated, whichever comes first.  Successful applicants must start trading from the funded property by Friday 31 January 2025.
