Funding for Community Activities to Improve the Local Environment (South West of England)

Community and voluntary organisations, charities, and other not-for-profit organisations in the southwest of England can apply for grants of up to £2,000 to support community activities that improve the local environment.

The Wessex Water Foundation Environment Fund will support initiatives that improve local biodiversity and environmental sustainability, and reduce water use.

Funding has previously been used to support a food waste collection and composting service, help a local scout group to purchase equipment for an environmental project, and support a project to clean oceans and coastlines.

The funding can be used to cover core and project costs, including equipment, salaries and overhead costs.

Schools and parish councils may also apply if they can demonstrate a community benefit.

Applications must be submitted through the Community Foundations covering the South West of England.

Groups and organisations must be based and operate within the Wessex Water region.

The closing date for applications is the 19th May 2025.
