Grants Available to Strengthening Fundraising in the Arts, Culture and Heritage Sectors (England)

Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy has opened applications for its 2025 Networks Funding programme, aimed at strengthening fundraising capabilities within England’s arts, culture, and heritage sectors.

The initiative supports organisations in delivering events that foster skill development and collaboration among fundraising professionals. The programme is particularly interested in activity that aims to strengthen business planning, governance, fundraising, earned income, cash management and audience development.

Eligible applicants include charitable organisations and not-for-profits operating in England. Priority will be given to networks and groups that have not previously received funding from Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy.

The programme offers grants of

  • up to £2,500 for in-person events, covering costs such as coordination, participant travel, venue hire, catering, and guest speakers. These events must benefit a minimum of ten participants. For entirely virtual activities,
  • up to £1,000 are available to cover expenses like software, administration, or external training support, also requiring a minimum of ten beneficiaries.
  • Additionally, organisations can apply for an extra £500 to support access costs for either online or in-person events.

The funding is available for an event or activity to take place between June and October 2025.

The grants aims to address the increasing challenges faced by arts and cultural organisations in securing funding and building sustainable fundraising practices. By supporting initiatives that promote skill development and collaboration, the programme aims to address these challenges and contribute to the sector's resilience.

Applications for the Networks Funding grant are currently open and will close at 12:00 noon on 6 June 2025. Interested organisations can apply through the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy website, where detailed guidelines and application forms are available. (link below)
