£60 Million Funding Call for Satellite Constellation Ideas (UK)

The UK Space Agency has launched a new funding call for innovations that will help build the capabilities of the UK’s satellite constellations.

The Connectivity in Low Earth Orbit (C-LEO) programme will provide up to £60 million of grant funding over the next four years to support companies and researchers to develop innovative satellite communications technology.

This funding will be targeted towards proposals with technology readiness levels of between 4 and 6 in the following five technology areas:

  • on-board (regenerative) processing
  • active antennas
  • optical inter-satellite links
  • networking and routing
  • user terminals

Awards of up to £20 million per project will be funded.

Match funding is required.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 8th May 2024.
