£1.6 Million Funding Round Launched to Support UK Music Overseas (UK)
The latest round of the government’s Music Export Growth Scheme, which supports small and medium-sized independent music companies to introduce UK music overseas, has opened to applications.
The scheme offers grants of £5,000 to £50,000 to help companies, including record labels, distributors, and management agencies, deliver high-quality marketing, touring, and promotional campaigns that raise the international profile of their artists.
Applications must include detailed campaign proposals demonstrating how the grant would be used. This could include:
- launch/introduction marketing campaign (including PR costs, physical/digital advertising, plugging into radio and TV, social media campaigns etc.)
- showcases & other opportunities to secure international distribution deals or licensing
- personal appearances (such as TV/Radio media opportunities in the country)
- tour support to enable the artist to travel to and showcase/perform in the targeted market
- any other plans for targeting record labels/license partners, distributors, publishers, media and concert promoters in target markets
This latest round, administered by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), offers £1.6 million in funding.
The deadline for applications is 15th December 2025.
