Grants for Community Climate Action Projects (Leeds)

Together for Peace and Leeds Community Foundation are partnering to offer funding for community climate action projects in Leeds. Through their Action Leeds Community Microgrants and Small Grants programmes, charities, community groups, and other not-for-profit organisations in the area can apply for grants of up to £1,000 or £5,000 respectively.

The funding is aimed at supporting neighbourhood-based initiatives that promote reducing carbon, nature-friendly activity, and social justice. The types of activities that could be funded include community composting schemes, clothing swaps, volunteer-led cycling schemes, community gardens, green energy feasibility studies, and repair and recycle hubs.

Eligibility for the Microgrants programme is for organisations with an annual income of up to £35,000, while eligibility for the Small Grants programme is for organisations with an annual income of up to £150,000. The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 28th April 2023.
