UK research organisations can apply for a share of £11.5 million in funding to support up to four transformative research projects that aim to enhance the resilience, health, and wellbeing of UK coastal communities and seas.

The Resilient UK Coastal Communities and Seas programme aims to use place-based approaches to transform the understanding of how climatic, environmental, health, economic, social, and cultural factors impact UK coastal seas, communities, and their natural capital.

The programme is jointly funded by UK Research and Innovation, AHRC, ESRC, Defra, and NERC, and will provide between £2.5 to 2.9 million for each project.

The deadline for applications is 4pm on the 13th July 2023.

There will be a webinar on 2nd May 2023 at 2:00pm outlining the aims and objectives of the opportunity.

To attend please register for the webinar and submit any questions in advance.
