Grants of up to £500,000 Available for Projects that Tackle Veterans Homelessness (UK)

Charitable organisations, housing associations, and registered social housing providers with experience in providing housing support to veterans can now apply for a grant of up to £500,000 per year for a period of two years through the Covenant Trusts Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme.

To be eligible to apply for a grant, the applicant organisation must show extensive experience in supporting homeless veterans. Applicants must also prove that their project is adaptable to the needs of veterans, including those with high, medium, and low-level support needs. The project must also deliver sustainable outcomes for the veterans accessing the services, so that they do not return to being homeless in the future.

There is also an opportunity to apply for an additional award of up to £250,000 per year if the organisation can demonstrate that extending their project will fill a significant unmet need.

Collaboration with other organisations in meeting the needs of veterans is also vital

The applicant must also demonstrate their collaboration with the Government's central referral pathway for homeless veterans, Op FORTITUDE.

The deadline for application submission is 5 PM on 22 May 2023.
