Call for Bids to Tackle Human Trafficking from Romania (UK)

Grants of between £50,000 and £120,000 are available to civil society organisations that are working towards addressing the issue of modern slavery in Romania.

The funding will support multi-year projects aimed at reducing trafficking of Romanians to the UK and enhancing responses to modern slavery and human trafficking in Romania, with a focus on prevention, support, and building capability.

These projects may include communication campaigns, capacity building for law enforcement and public authorities, community-based support, and initiatives to reduce stigma and prejudice. The implementing partners for these projects are expected to be civil society organisations based in Romania or the UK.

Cooperation and joint project proposals between UK and Romanian organisations are strongly encouraged.

The funding is being made available through the Home Office Modern Slavery Fund, and the deadline for applications is 18th May 2023.
