National Lottery Grants for Heritage - Grants of up to £10 Million Available (UK)

Not-for-profit organisations across the UK can now apply for grants of between £250,000 and £10 million from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for projects connecting people and communities to the national, regional and local heritage of the UK.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis, the National Heritage Fund will prioritise heritage projects that:

  • promote inclusion and involve a wider range of people;
  • boost the local economy;
  • encourage skills development and job creation;
  • support wellbeing;
  • create better places to live, work and visit;
  • and improve the resilience of organisations working in heritage.

All projects must also consider long-term environmental sustainability.

Heritage projects that seek to achieve economic growth by investing in heritage (heritage enterprise projects) must demonstrate how they meet the National Lottery Grants for Heritage’s priority outcomes. The maximum that can be applied for under heritage enterprise is £5 million.

Partnerships are encouraged.

The next closing date for expressions of interest for National Lottery Grants for Heritage is the 16th November 2023.
