Funding to Promote Inclusion and Diversity within the Chemical Sciences (UK)

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) has launched a special call for proposals through its Inclusion and Diversity Fund to support chemists from low socio-economic backgrounds. This call aims to align with the RSC's Inclusion & Diversity strategy for 2025 by facilitating the realisation of aspirations, career choices, and progression within the chemical sciences for individuals from low socio-economic backgrounds.

The grant scheme offers funding opportunities for both individual projects, with grants of up to £5,000, and larger scale projects, with grants exceeding £5,000.

The scheme is open to individuals and organisations, including members of the Royal Society of Chemistry, member-led groups, primary and secondary educators, researchers in academia or industry, museums, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, arts groups, and libraries.

Applicants who have received grants from the Royal Society of Chemistry in the past are also eligible to apply for funding through this call.

The deadline for submitting applications is the 16th of July 2023. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, as they are received.

Projects must take place in the United Kingdom between September 2023 and September 2024
