Funding to Reduce Inequalities in Poor Mental Health for Young People from Minority Ethnic Groups (Leeds)

Grants of between £2,500 and £7,500 are available to charities, community groups, social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations in Leeds that are supporting young people from minority ethnic groups with their mental health.

The Leeds Community Foundation’s Addressing Mental Health Inequalities in Minority Ethnic Groups Grants programme will support innovative ideas that reduce inequalities in poor mental health for young people aged 16-25.

Proposals should address one or more of the following:

  • Building capacity
  • Reducing stigma and increasing trust
  • Access to early intervention for developing mental health issues

Funding can cover the cost of work such as peer support groups, activities for families and/or young people with mental health concerns, training for staff and volunteers, and capacity building.

Applicants must have an annual income of under £500,000.

Small unincorporated and unregistered community organisations with an annual income of less than £10,000 can apply for grants of up to £5,000.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 14th March 2024.
