Funding for the Refurbishment of Veteran's Accommodation (UK)

Registered charities and social housing providers working with veterans can apply for grants through the Covenant Trust's Refurbishment Grants Programme. The programme offers up to £75,000 for projects focused on refurbishing or extending rental accommodation to support veterans with housing needs.

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust administers this programme, funded by the Veterans’ Capital Housing Fund, which aims to reduce veteran homelessness by providing affordable housing.

The Refurbishment Grants Programme was introduced to support the broader objective of ending veteran homelessness by improving the availability and quality of rental housing for veterans.

Funding through this programme can be used for capital refurbishment projects that enhance or extend rental accommodations for veterans. Eligible uses include projects that refurbish existing affordable homes, increase the availability of veteran housing, and ensure that properties meet decent homes and energy efficiency standards.

Applications must be submitted by midday on the 3rd January 2025 for a decision by the end of March 2025.
