Grants of up to £1,000 Available for Holidays for Disadvantaged Young People (UK - with preference for London & West Midlands)

Small charities supporting disadvantaged young people can apply for funding to provide holiday experiences through the Sheldon Trust’s Holiday Funding programme.

The Trust offers grants of up to £1,000 to registered UK charities, with priority given to small and medium-sized organisations with an annual income under £1 million.

Funding is available to support holidays and short breaks for young people aged under 25 who face disadvantage, including group trips, respite breaks, and activity-based holidays that offer positive experiences and opportunities away from their usual environment.

The programme particularly benefits young people in areas including the West Midlands and Greater London, although applications from across the UK may be considered where criteria are met.

Grants are intended as a contribution towards costs rather than full funding.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with decisions typically made within eight weeks.  The Holiday Fund grant programme will close once funds have been allocated.

Previously funded projects have included residential trips for young carers, outdoor activity breaks for children with disabilities, and group holidays for young people from low-income families.
