Grants of up to £10,000 are available through the Leeds Digital Inclusion Fund to support sustainable digital inclusion activity in Leeds. Leeds Community Foundation is working with Leeds City Council’s 100% Digital Leeds and Leeds Digital Ball to fund projects that help people and communities get online and stay active online.
The fund will support community organisations in Leeds to build capacity and embed digital inclusion into everyday services. Funded activity can include test-and-learn work for organisations at the start of their digital inclusion journey, as well as development work for organisations seeking to build on existing work.
• grants of up to £5,000 are available for test and learn activity;
• grants of up to £10,000 are available to expand existing activity;
• eligible costs include equipment, connectivity, staff capacity and new staff costs;
• applicants are asked to speak with 100% Digital Leeds before applying.
Examples of activities that could be supported incude:
Examples of digital inclusion activity could include:
• running drop-in digital support sessions in a community centre, library, food bank or neighbourhood hub;
• helping people learn essential digital skills, such as using email, video calls, online forms and search tools;
• supporting people to access online services, including housing, employment, health, council or government websites;
• setting up a Digital Health Hub to help people use NHS apps, book appointments or access health information online;
• providing devices, data or connectivity so people can get online;
• training staff or volunteers to become digital champions;
• testing new ways to reach people who are digitally excluded;
• promoting the benefits of being online to people who lack confidence or motivation;
• creating regular self-sustaining digital inclusion support sessions;
• helping people stay safe online, including avoiding scams and protecting personal information;
• supporting jobseekers to search and apply for jobs online;
• helping older people, disabled people, people on low incomes or isolated residents build confidence using digital tools.
Eligible applicants include incorporated not-for-profit organisations and registered charities. Small unincorporated and unregistered groups can apply for grants of £5,000 or less if their annual income is below £10,000.
The deadline is 12 noon on 1 September 2026, with decisions expected in December 2026.
