Funding of £850,000 Available to Support Innovation in Farming (England)

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, in partnership with UK Research & Innovation, has launched round 3 of the Farming Innovation Programme.

The programme supports collaborative research and development projects that enable England’s agricultural and horticultural sectors to improve productivity, and be more environmentally sustainable and resilient, whilst moving the sectors towards net zero.

This latest round invites farmers, growers or foresters to apply for a share of £850,000 in funding to develop early-stage ideas that tackle an issue affecting their business. Proposals should benefit either livestock, plants, novel food production systems, or bioeconomy and agroforestry.

The competition opens for expressions of interest on the 30th January 2023 and closes at 11am on the 8th March 2023.
