Grants of up to £500 Available to Small Projects that Benefit the Local Community (North West)

The Equilibrium Foundation, which supports charities and community groups across North West England with a focus on creating lasting positive social impact in local communities, has announced that it is inviting applications through its Community Support Scheme.

The scheme provides grants of up to £500 to support projects that make a positive difference locally. It excludes applications from individuals, commercial ventures, political causes, and animal-related projects.

Any community or voluntary group operating in the region is eligible to apply, with the aim of supporting initiatives that directly benefit local people. Five organisations are selected in each funding round, with awards made every six months.

The next deadline for applications is 1 March 2026, with applicants notified within four weeks.

  • The Little Green Sock Project, which redistributes baby essentials to families in need.
  • Elite Community Hub CIC delivers social, health, and wellbeing activities to disadvantaged communities.
  • Her-Place Charitable Trust supports women with safe spaces, advocacy, and empowerment programmes, tackling inequality and promoting opportunities for personal and community growth
