Grants to Empower Black & Racially Minoritised Communities (Bristol)

Charities, community and voluntary groups, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £5,000 (£20,000 for partnerships) to deliver activities and social action that support Black and racially minoritised communities.

The Bristol Community Recovery Programme aims to support recovery, as well as build trust and community cohesion, following the public disorder in August 2024, particularly in areas facing poverty, inequity, and deprivation.

The fund will support local and city-wide activities that meets one or more of the following priorities:

  • Empower and support the recovery of Black and racially minoritised communities who were the target of discrimination, hatred and public disorder.
  • Build and strengthen community connections, particularly between people who would not otherwise come together
  • Create safe spaces for community conversation
  • Empower communities of interest who face multiple social, cultural, physical, economic barriers to participation

This fund is delivered in partnership with Bristol City Council and the Quartet Community Foundation.

The deadline for applications is 11am on the 21st February 2025.
